Path of the Jaguar Leadership,Wilderness and Adventure Camp

The camp provides an opportunity for Children 13-18 years to stenghten their leadeship skills, experiement a wilderness camp and engage in extreme sports and outside adventures. The camp is part of the Gnostic University of Philantropia, where children can benefit from a multidiversity of topics provided by the university schools.

The camp encouarages leadeship skills, by breaking up tasks in projects, which they participate and lead. The camp will allow the child to follow a track and find subjects that he is interested on, discovering a life skill or an activity that he is passionate about. For example, programming, permaculture, music or art. The pedagogy includes Steiner and Montessori learning systems with the purpose of helping students to fully develop both sides of the brain, as well as, providing them practical life skills to achieve any dream.

Each student goes at its own pace lead by mentors, experts in their craft. While they interact with nature in a conducive environment, they learn to understand their body, mind and spirit that allow them to discover their talents. They learn to implement sustainable endeavors guided by a social circle of philantropist and entrepreneurs.

Campers also have the opportunity to mentor younger children, learning to lead, encourage and in general improve social skills. They have the opportunity to teach what they have learnt, broadcasting their lessons learned in classes and to the university network.

Each student will have a video camara, that allows them to record daily activities, a daily blog or movie that they share as part of their life quest journey. The content is private to the families and university, and it is also used for assesments and research about emotional intelligence and the subconscious mind.

The campus allows to enjoy perfect weather all year around, where there is continuous growth of organic foods, including free range eggs and fresh milk. The camp provides individualize smart foods allowing students to achieve their highest potential. It is waking distance to the ocean and pristine rivers of the indigenous reserve of the Sierra Nevada of the Santa Marta in Colombia.

Parents have the option to stay with their kids. They will have the option to share their wisdom of skills with other campers. For example, a dad whose hobbie is to build tree houses can come to the camp and teach the kids his construction skills, while they build their own houses, sharing love while building together in an inspiring environment.

Children that have been diagnosed with a learning disability (e.g. ADHD, ODD), will find themselves in an environment conducive for them. Most of these kids are also called star children, because their mind reaches to other worlds, and they get frustrated in constrained environments. The camp is designed for them to explore different activities, such as, flying, building, coding, arts, music, etc., and find their talents. Based on those talents they will develop a life project, involving their friends and family.

After the camp, the student has the option to apply to become a two year student of the university, where she will advance further the project. The camper has the option to continue working on the project after leaving the summer camp, and continue the interaction with their friends, supporting each lives projects with encouragement , relationships, ideas and other resources.
