The person experiences a loss of pleasure or interest in activities, poor concentration, feelings of excessive guilt or low self-worth, hopelessness about the future, thoughts about dying or suicide, disrupted sleep, changes in appetite or weight, and feeling especially tired or low in energy.
A person gets to a state of depression beacause of childhood trauma, or traumas that were passed through generations. For example, a person can experience the trauma of her grandfather, but if not conscious will not even realize that there is a trauma.
