Hape (or Rapé) is tobacco snuff blowed in the nostrils to clear the energy, clear sinus infections, clear headaches and prepare us for other medicines. It is made from the ashes of sacred tabacco (mapacho) and the cortex of the tree (sinsi). It is sometimes mixed with other fresh leaves from plants and herbs.
